CrossFit Stags & Does is Cambridge's original CrossFit gym and first opened its doors back in 2012.
What sets us apart is the quality of our coaching and our incredibly welcoming and supportive community. We pride ourselves on having small class sizes where every member can receive dedicated attention from our coaches.
I started gymnastics at age 4 and reached county level by 11, however I didn’t really find my love for fitness until my 20s. I found that exercise boosted my mood, confidence, and mental health, so I threw myself into training and found a passion for CrossFit. This journey led me to run a half marathon, learn to ski, compete in CrossFit,
I started gymnastics at age 4 and reached county level by 11, however I didn’t really find my love for fitness until my 20s. I found that exercise boosted my mood, confidence, and mental health, so I threw myself into training and found a passion for CrossFit. This journey led me to run a half marathon, learn to ski, compete in CrossFit, and even place in the top 5% of the CrossFit Open worldwide.
My passion for coaching stems from a desire to help others experience these same benefits. Whether it’s achieving new goals, discovering new limits to conquer, growing in confidence or having a lifeline to turn to in difficult times, I strongly believe that we can help you in your journey!
Qualifications:
I didn’t always have a passion for fitness. In fact, it wasn’t until my university years that I really started exploring it. I tried a range of different workout programs but nothing ever really stuck - partly because I was normally training alone!

That all changed in 2021 when I joined CrossFit Stags & Does. From the moment I stepped in, I knew this gym was something special. The phenomenal coaches, supportive community, varied workouts and sense of accomplishment I felt after each session were unlike anything I had experienced before. I was hooked, and I haven’t looked back since.
My love for fitness has only grown since then, and I’m deeply passionate about creating an environment where others can experience the same life-changing impact that fitness has had on me. I truly believe that there are no limits to the positive impact that exercise can have on your physical, mental and emotional health!

Having competed in GBR sailing and Cambridge United Football, I’ve always been fiercely competitive. I still compete in various fitness competitions like Hyrox, running events, and CrossFit competitions, but find myself being behind the barriers just as often, judging, coaching or even hosting my own fitness competitions.
The community in CrossFit is by far my favourite element. I am a personal trainer but the team dynamic within a box is like nothing else. It's pretty awesome to watch everyday people become everyday athletes!

As an avid sportsman and long-term CrossFit athlete of 10 years, I thrive on the community and competitive aspects of the sport. I also enjoy skiing, running, swimming, and hiking, all while maintaining an active lifestyle with my family. I firmly believe that age should never be a barrier to achieving peak performance. My philosophy, rooted in training for life, is about empowering others to stay strong, healthy, and active well into their later years.
